Warden of Frost

This cold-hearted creature perches atop the tallest mountains in the islands where the air is thinnest and most frigid. It remains perfectly still, as though frozen solid, until an airship approaches too closely. Once the ship flies within reach, this chilling monstrosity takes one massive swipe with its mighty arms and hurls a barrage of ice and hail with such tremendous force that it can obliterate even the sturdiest of hulls. So many over-zealous treasure seekers have met this icy fate over the centuries that the island elders believe the mountains themselves were built from the frozen remains of ancient airships.
